I enojoyed watching Dr. Hooper on YouTube!!! I've definitly learned through my experiences at Mary Washingotn that instruction must be diffferentiated. I agree with this philosophy....but don't necessarily remember experiencing it when I was in grade school. As a special ed. teacher I know that not everyone learns in the same way and that we have to differentiate our instruction to meet those different needs. We have to differentiate in content (as best we can), process,.how we teach the subject matter, and product...how we assessm our students. Relying on one format to teach, grade, and expect is olde school and out dated. The new age teacher is one that differentiates as much possible to push his/her students to reacher their potentials.
