Teaching new classes

I already feel that I am behind again. This is my second year, but now I have new classes to teach and I have to start over from scratch with lesson plans and PPTs. Is anyone else in the same boat as me? I can feel that I will be the same next year too. Maybe years down the road I will catch up. Hope everyone has a great year.

I am feeling the same way. I am in my fourth of year of teaching and I feel like I'm still in my first year. I think that part of this is that we feel the need to always adapt our old lesson plans and make them better, which is what good teachers do. The truth of the matter is that we have different students every year, so different things will work for them. There is also always new research and technology coming out that I feel like I need to implement in my classroom.

I could not imagine being a Special Ed. teacher back when I was in high school. I do not know how they could get plans together to fit the needs of their students. I'm glad that I have a smart board in my classroom, which helps out a lot!
